The Cite de l’Espace is the most important space museum in Europe with many real
spacecraft including 1960’s Soyuz craft, one of which you can even get into and experience
the cramped conditions (even a couple of minutes makes you think what it might have
been like for days on end).
You really need to plan on a full day in the museum - it is an hour’s drive from
Au Berg. There is so much to see and do - many great interactive activities for all
ages - that nobody will get fed up by the end of the day. Order tickets for the iMAx
film show for the times you want - organisation can be a bit shambolic but it is
really worth seeing this “4D” show - especially the space walk from the Space Station.
Young kids will love the interior of the Ariane rocket and older ones will be fascinated
by the activities in the various indoor areas.
Of course there is loads more to do in Toulouse - hang around for the evening, see
La Place du Capitole and enjoy great food.
